It should go to one side of the gearlever, from memory the other side
to the brake and fuel pipes.
It will be very close to the gearlever housing and the tunnel but it
should fit.
One thing you will find with the Mk2 Fiesta system is that it only has
hangers on one side of the system, it relies on the clamp between the
downpipe and the exhaust to stop the system rotating and hanging down.
So the clamp needs to be really tight.

hi all, me again
the day is getting close now with everything pretty much done in order
to fire up the engine,
just one thing ive noticed though while changing the oil is just how
low the exhaust centre section actually is, when I fitted it I had the
car 2ft in the air and routed the exhaust in what I saw to be a
logical way, however in reality with the car on its wheels the "dog
leg" section in the centre tunnel is less that 2" off the floor with
the car unladen, obviously this will pose some issues so my question
is,
Does the "dog leg" section go under the gear mechanism or does it go
either side?
I routed it under as that seemed the best fit but on reflection it
would appear this may be wrong?
if anybody can point me (or indeed my exhaust) in the right direction
I will be very happy as im hours away from turning the key
cheers
