The compound is a softer and the profile is deeper and designed to have a
good grip on snow/ice/wet roads.
So if worn I guess that on a nice hot sunny track day they will stick to the
tarmac . . . like candy

Would they work as a track day tyre when they are bald?
Any tyre with loads of tread is not much cop on track, despite the constant
droning of so called experts, however when it rains thats a different story.

Winter tyres work best below 7 degrees Celcius.
if you use them above that temperature they will wear a lot faster
wornout before summer arrives. . . .

By all season, do you mean winter ? if so then good luck trying to get
any. I placed an order yesterday and have a feeling I won't be seeing
them any time soon. Don't think winter tyres would last through the
summer (not doing 20k+ a year) and I dare say the levels of grip would
prove 'interesting' on a hot summers day !
Supply and demand means that prices are currently sky high for winter
tyres, therefore if I can cancel my order I will and re-order in the
summer.
