OK, so the French trip was going to be a bit expensive and that's not really the thing to do at the moment. So we've come up with a lower cost proposal - "The Champagne and Oysters Tour”......
Champagne and Oysters? How are we making this cheaper? Answer - Kent. Kent is the home to growers of grapes that contribute to some of the best English sparkling wines produced using the "traditional method" (we can't say Champagne - that's a place in France). It's also the home of Whitstable, which is famed for its oysters. The plan for The 2011 Credit Crunch Circuit of Kent is to spend four nights B&B in the Canterbury area from 13-17 June, which (after some research) we're estimating at £300-400 per room - a room's about half the per person cost of the French trip. We really need more people to make this work and I've contacted those who had expressed an interest separately, so if you haven't had an email from me then you're probably not on my list. If you're interested then please let me know by the 15 April at the latest, otherwise we'll have to question the viability of the 2011 tour.
