Now my commute to work is about 50 mins instead of 25 i decided i needed a car that used less petrol than the Mondeo 4x4 (i managed to get that up to 30mpg). I bought a 2001 Fiesta 1.6 Ghia with the all alloy 1.6 Zetec-S (99ps) engine in it. I have to say it's a lovely engine, really quiet and free revving, i must put one in a Quantum sometime. You may ask why i didn't buy the 1.25L version, i was going to but when i checked the fuel consumption it was almost identical, presumably as the 1.6 isn't having to work as hard.
