I think that the inner bush on the Mk4 Escort TCA is a type of rose joint (with a rubber gaiter over it). So probably no benefit in changing that to a poly bush and thats why they aren't common.

It may be that pattern TCA's try to get away with a rubber bush there instead of the rose joint.
I'm sure i didn't change those bushes to poly on my saloon for that reason.

Good luck if you try to change the top strut bush to poly, i couldn't get them to fit in the thicker fibreglass.

Subject: [Quantum Owners] Saloon TCAs

How do I tell if I have the Mk3 or Mk4 Escort TCAs fitted to my Saloon? I
think I need to replace the inner TCA bushes before getting the alignment
done, but most places only list inner poly bushes for the Mk3 escort, so if
I have Mk4 TCAs would I need to source rubber ones?

I've already poly bushes the ARB and outer TCA, plus the rear arms, which
made a uge difference to the handling, but it's still a little sloppy and
destroyed the front tyres very quickly. I hoping that poly bushing the rest and having the alignment properly set up will save me going through the next
pair of fronts quicker that I can wear the rears out on the Xtreme.

Regards,
Steve
