I also agree that the pinto on standard mounts, does fit under the bonnet,
just the oil filler needed to be tweaked to fit under, before this it was
only just rubbing.

I am lucky enough to have side draught carbs and thus no height issues that
side.

tiger do more solid smaller rubber blocks for engine mounting that work with
a pinto.  I have also been advised that this may not be a bad idea as it
will also assist in stopping the engine rocking so much and putting stress
on the exhaust welds. mine came apart where the pipe is welded onto the flat
plate that you bold onto the head.  I've not changed them yet so can't
comment if it is a good idea or not.
