I've found that the FJ recovery works well - they won't necessarily try to fix the vehicle, as I think it's a recovery service, but that may not always be the case, as the drivers usually come from local garages and have always been helpful - one time we did troubleshoot the issue, which we put a temporary fix on the car, allowing me to drive the short distance home, with the recovery truck following me.
