My car failed it MOT on 'excessive' play in the ball joint of the drivers side TCA. Having trailed through posts on here & the build manual I got with the car I deduced that I should get a MK3 escort 1. When it came to fitting I relised that I have MK4 on the car. Due to time I fitted the mk3 one to get it though MOT. When I got the car 6 years ago I did replace both TCA's, but can't remember which version I took off!? All I know is that I put mk4 on.
The question is which version should I have on the car? the shell no is 55 (early??) Also does it matter which version is used?
