Assuming you are talking about the blacktop Zetec-R and not the Zetec-S
engines.
I can't specifically remember one in an H4 but it's certainly been done
in a 2+2
There's not a great difference between them and the earlier Zetecs.
The main thing with the ecu is that if you want to use the Ford ecu you
need to get a matching set of ECU and keys with the PATS sender in.
Also, the air flow meter, injectors etc etc all have to match the
ecu/engine.
Your best bet is to take everything off one car.
Either buy a written off car complete (preferable side or rear damage
as you can find expensive bits broken on the engine with front damage),
or get a scrapyard to let you have first access to one so you can get
everything you need of it.
Even if you did buy a new engine i'd still try and get everything else
off one car.

Hi guys, has anyone or does anyone know if the focus zetec engine
could be fitted into the H4, and if it can what would it need
regarding ecu ect I have seen new engines on ebay at reasonable
prices, although when all the ancillaries are added maybe they are not
the bargain they seem. Regards Bill.
