To replace the standard valves directly you would need to fit 2, one for each rear wheel as they are on separate brakes circuits. The only way to use one is to change the split of the brake circuit to front/rear instead of the standard split diagonal. I have done this on my saloon and it passed the MOT brake test and the brakes seem ok, though it was only on the road for the MOT and one trip to the Donnington Park kit car show, then i took it off the road to do the interior and it's still off the road !

Some people say you need a different design of master cylinder to do front/rear split due to the different displacements for the front/ rear circuits but if you look at the design of the master cylinder inside the pistons can move independently to a certain degree (they have to to be able to handle one circuit failing) so i think it's ok.

hi all, just a quick question

both my G valves (or whatever they’re called) look proper ropey so i
want to replace, ive heard i can get 2 from ford for around £100 but
ive also found a supplier of wilwood bias valves for around £40,
question is, can i just take the ford valves out and replace with one
of the adjustable type? will i need 1 per side at the rear or 1 for
the 2, one for 2 sides sound better cos its cheaper and it should have
pressure even both sides, but maybe i need 2 so i can fine tune the
pressure between each wheel and get perfectly even results both sides?
but then again they should be even anyway right?

im unsure so any help much appreciated

cheers in advance
