Martin - that would be great.
I am planning to be at Stoneleigh on the Sunday.
Does that fit in with your plans?

The neatest option is to get the choke cable and bracket/pod from a Mk2
Fiesta that had a manual choke.
There is a blanking plate on the bottom of the dash to the left of the
steering wheel, it fits in there.

Following on from the discussion about coverting my Weber Carb to a
Manual Choke....
I am now ready to fit the cable etc.

However, I am wonder where the best place is to fit the choke knob, ie.
In the dash is there a blanking plate I can use?
Under dash using a simple bracket?

Any suggestions / photos gratefully received?

I managed to source a New Old Stock manual choke conversion kit at a
Bargain price.
It should do the job - without changing the Carb.
Its not a direct fit - Its needs a new mounting ring to hold the
assembly in place but a friend said he can make me one.

Maybe it was only the very early Mk2 XR2's that had the manual choke
but
i've certainly had 2 that did.
And, i'm sure when i bought a brand new 34DMTR from weber for one of
them i had to buy a new manifold as well.
