The problem with fitting a tilt and slide roof from a production car is that
they all rely on the roof steel being stamped to the correct shape to form the
sunroof recess and mountings for the sunroof.
What we need is Eddie to find a suitable donor and then make a moulding from
the roof of it for his replacement panel.

Thanks for this Eddie...I don't yet know if my sunroof leaks as it's under
cover at least until the front and rear screens are rebonded (BBG did the side
windows, but it was a long way out for them to come, so I've found someone much
closer for the other two. I rather think that if it leaks, I'll either ask you
to remove it and replace with solid roof and new headlining, or (depending on
headroom) find another electric sunroof to install instead (Mark 4 Golf ?
Rover?.....or a manual...Ford Sierra ?
  We'll see.

  Hi

The tilt and slide was supplied by an aftermarket company that has now
  dissapeared.
This has now left us in a situation where we can not get parts to
  repair them.

If the sun roof is leaking / broken, there is no need to worry as I
now have a mould of the roof and can take the old electric roof out
and reace it with bodywork again. This then leves you with a blank
roof ready to install a different roof or not depending on what you
  want.
