Eddie has made some important points here but before we jump in at the deep end to answer the how to do it questions would it not be worth asking why. It is possible that the answer might be 'because no one else seems to have done it' just in the same way that certain mountaineers claim that they climb a particular mountain 'because it is there' If there is a technical objective to the proposed conversion the next question that might be asked is 'can this be achieved with the existing driveline?' If for any good reason the answer is no and that only RWD will do, would it be easier to use a mid engine installation and would this open up a wider range of engine options? Although it is quite a while since he owned a Quantum it would be interesting to hear Ian Cummings views of the Front wheel drive v RWD issue as he transferred his vehicle affections from Quantums to Morgans.
