No idea where to get rams from nowadays. They usually have the part number 
stamped on the gas chamber. Mine were OK and didn't need replacing. I know 
from experience of various old estate doors / hatchbacks / bootlids 
clouting me on the head / back that these rams don't last forever. If the 
ram is weak then it will be hard to get the glass up from the wet area, it 
should be very easy but not pop-up without help.
