Had the same thing on my mondeo when i change the pads, were ok for a while
then it developed a chirp chirp when driving was ok when I breaked,
sometimes it went away if i breaked hard it would also disapear if I pulled
the hand break on anyway after several weeks of investigation it turned out
to be the metal that the pad was attached to was slightly oversize plus
abit of rust and was binding on the carrier. A good clean of the carrier
and a small amount of grinding to the edge of the pad metal and a thin
smear of copperlube on the edge of the carrier and bobs your uncle, havn't
heard the budgie since. dont know if this will help but worth investigation
Regards
