Brake pipe is still measured as 3/16”, it’s the same on metric or imperial systems. I would buy the copper-nickel stuff, easier to work than steel and tougher than plain copper.
The fittings are all metric on the Fiestas, mostly M10 x 1mm though you will find M12 x 1mm on some fittings to stop you mixing the pipes up between the split diagonal.
