* I have been in touch with Dinitrol about using it where metal and G.R.P
contact each other and they say it will not affect the G.R.P as waxoyl does
because it has no oil in the product. I enclose some of the letters they
sent me so you can all see, so I think I will use it on the 2+2 in the
sills E.T.C*

Hello Derek

The technical data sheet for Dinitrol 4941 underbody wax clearly states

Zinc, rubber and plastics are completely unharmed by the product.

Here is a link to the Data sheet if you wish to read it for yourself

and a link to the material safety data sheets

Dinitrol is a basically wax and solvents, once the solvents have
evaporated after application you are just left with the wax. Whereas the
waxoyl contains wax and oil and never dries and will not stick very well to
GRP.

Hope this is of help to you.

 Kindest regards

Julie
