When I took my 2+2 RST to Goodwood FOS I found that the electric cooling fan
had ceased working.
I checked wiring and unplugged and replugged it in and still no function, I
bridged the the contacts as the thermo switch does and wahey the fan worked.
Down to the local Motor Factors and a new £10.30 switch and installed in
minutes and hey presto a working fan.
Now in this recent el scorchio weather my car has been getting well over 100
deg and I worry why, has the head gasket gone? Is the water pump not working
well? Is there an airlock?
No none of these things except the fact that I had wired the fan wrong and it
was drawing hot air from engine and blowing it back through the rad DUH!
Reverse wiring and all is well again.
Red faced idiot Jon.
