The piping is a bit worn on mine, showing a bit of white where the
black as worn away.
Wonder if there's a product which will restore the black colouring on
piping?
The wheels on the ebay one aren't really my cup of tea, but look like
they could be reasonable - if tied in with good tyres that could be
another reason to buy.
When it comes to repairing the nosecone - as long as that's the only
damage, the actual fibreglass repair probably isn't that difficult.
But I've had to remove my nosecone twice now, and neither occasion was
particularly easy.
When it goes back on after the diesel conversion (so close, but
temporarily halted due to other commitments) I'll be using stainless
fasteners throughout to secure it. Last time I thought I'd sorted
this by using stainless bolts, but the captive nuts rusted and seized
them into place just the same.
Must be plenty of people prepared to pay a bit for an engine and
gearbox.
Sorry if this sounds negative, but the depressingly low value of
saloons these days means they probably are worth more as parts.
