Chris, Not seen a 2+2 but on ford sierra and Xtreme bespoke version of speedo/ odometer, the odometer is driven by the same cable as the speedo not 2 different cables, so it sounds like an internal problem. Likely to be awkward to fix- probably designed to be hard to modify to prevent clocking !
