>From what I've seen everywhere all the compounds or polishes don't resolve the >problem. There is something (from USA) which is a clear liquid, like varnish which leaches into the surface and then dries. On the old green Rickman Ranger I had (which had faded to the usual 'dark peppermint!) I tried it on a small area just to see what would happen, as I had no intentions to keep the vehicle long term. It worked, in the same way that your car probably looks ok when it's wet! It lasted for a good year and then I sold the car. Given that all I did was put on a quick dab with a cloth, I was vary impressed, and suspect if I put a couple of coats on in a more fastidious manner it would have been great for a good period of time. Now....... If you look on marine suppliers website you may find. If you can't, I'll have a hunt in the garage tomorrow to see if I can find it. Hi all, Has anyone got a favourite product for restoring gelcoat colour? I have used Autoglym super resin polish and Turtle car wax which bring up good results, but only last a couple of months max even with the car garaged. Much as I like tending to the 2+2 this is too often! I've been looking for a decent lacquer or wax to use which will last, rather than commit to a full respray... Any solutions out there?
