Always the way with ebay
They try to amend processes with ways to line their pockets

Given that ebay is not run as a charity they have two choices to deal with
a perceived loss of revenue They could simply close the gap by charging
everyone £10.5% or recoup from those who withdraw.

Over the years the UK government has refused to eliminate road tax cheating
by simply transfering the tax to fuel and instead has inflicted other
measures which result in the tax payer paying even more.

I think Ebay have gone about solving their perceived problem the right way
but I guess they might have made plans to meet exceptional circumstances.

BTW one often sees the phrase seller reserves the right to end the auction
early as the 'whatever' is advertised elsewhere. Does this have any effect
at all?
