ive always wanted to rid my 2+2 of the horrible faded orange front
indicators, trouble is there aren't any upgraded metro units
available, and there are very few clear lenses that fit the hole
without leaving big gaps, so at stonliegh I remembered my tape measure
and went shopping, after trying a few I found some that are the exact
same size as the metro units

I settled on some clear reverse units at £4 each
trouble is the units only have one bulb holder, 21w, so that's ok for
the indicator but no side light, so I made some thin alloy dividers

bonded them to the backing

all assembled with new cables and a plug

brackets made up from 4mm thick 50x50 angle cut to 50x30mm, one face
shot blasted to provide a good key for bonding

all in i'm very happy, they seem to fit better than the metro units
because the curve of the lens follows the contour of the bonnet better
than the flat metro units, happy days and has freshen up the front of
the car for about £15 all in
