I've tried a few variants of the "flat blade" wipers including quite
expensive Bosch ones that were supposed to be a custom fit on my 306 and
found them pretty hopeless. I concluded they don't seem to work well with
older windscreens with scratches/minor imperfections or quite curved swept
areas. That said I know others have found they work just fine, so I guess
it's a bit luck of the draw. I wouldn't bother on an old car with small
wipers such as the Quantum as the benefits would be marginal.
