Last year at Thruxton I reckon I lost as much fuel from the fuel cap as from burning it in the engine. I came home and bought a new cap but it was a pattern one and rubbish so I took the seal out of it and doubled it up on the original cap. This worked.
Now I have bought another 2+2 one of the jobs is to sort the fuel cap out as it too leaks. For £9 on Ebay you can buy 5 mm thick Viton rubber (it has to be Viton as ordinary rubber gets eaten by petrol). Does any one else have this problem but with a better solution?
