After a day of helping other people I found that my fibreglass boat had dragged its moorings and ended up nudging a concrete ramp with two other boats washed up alongside. I walked down the ramp to inspect the damage and found, to my horror, that the owner of the next boat was sitting in the cockpit repairing his own boat with a grp patch, but, as the tide was coming in quite rapidly he was hurrying the process along by heating the grp patch, on his grp boat, with a blow torch.
