I did pretty much the same thing, sikaflex (or clone) and several wooden
wedges between the glass and the seal until it's set.
Mine has electric windows.
I spent ages trying to work out a better way of fitting glass seals but
couldn't work one out that could handle the somewhat out of line hole in
the top of the door.

Yes, they were just a generic kitcar seal from somewhere.
Either superglue or i used Sikaflex

have a bit of an odd question but could you confirm which
outer scraper seal is used on the 2+2 doors. The OSF one is
missing on a car i just purchased and i am guessing its just
the mk2 fiesta one that used but cant confirm as i dont have
one to compare to. By scraper seal i mean the outer weather
strip thats fixed to the top of the door and seals against
the window. Thanks
