Niall,

How Slightly is slightly? If less than say 1 mm and you have at least 8 mm of
flange, the easiest option if to remove any fixing studs and offer the warped
face up to a linisher (bench mounted belt sander) using progressively finer
grades of paper until the surface is flat. This will require some finesse to
avoid worsening the situation.

Better still is to persuade someone with a milling machine to mill the surface
for you.

More worrying is how the flange became warped in the first instance - make sure
that it is not actually cracked anywhere as warping is usually the first
indication of a developing crack. If you (gently) hit the adjacent area with a
hammer, does it ring clearly or does it sound muted? If the latter, then you
likely have a crack.

Hamish

Subject: [Quantum Owners] Need a manifold....

Hello there, does anyone know where or how, or who I have to kill, to get hold
of an intake manifold for a standard 1.6 xr2 CVH (might have solved my new carb
problem btw) as mine seems to be slightly warped where the carb bolts on and I
can't find one anywhere.

I can get one that takes twin 45s but I'm not sure my wife would be super
pleased with that purchase (and then the necessary twin 45s purchase to go with
it) and I honestly don't think my quantum is big enough to live in
(cause-effect).

Open to any other low cost solutions too! In a jolly side note seem to have
alienated all customer relations with the lovely chaps at Webcon for ever. Note
to self; before going on tyrannical bender of phone and email abuse, check the
obvious.
