Actually, i think LUA, LUB and LUC are CVH engine codes, or maybe my brain just 
made them up.....

Look for RDA (105ps), RKC (115ps) or RQB (130ps)

Originally the power output would have been on a label on the air intake pipe 
on the top of the engine but these tend to fade or fall off.

The main differences between the 105, 115 and 130ps engines are:

Throttle body size
MAF size and part number
Injector size
Inlet manifold bore size
Camshaft profile
Oil jets squirting at the bottom of the piston.
ECU

Most of these differences aren’t that easy to see or tell apart if you’ve not 
seen the other versions before.
Originally the 115ps engine would have had a plastic manifold but that may have 
been replaced with the metal version to make it a easier fit in the H4 

Probably the easiest way to check is take the rubber boot off the back of the 
ecu and see what the 4 digit code word is on the ecu connector.

There also should be a 3 digit code stamped on the corner of the cylinder head 
above the stat housing, LUA, LUB or LUC i think.

Thank you for your advice to use synthetic 5W30 , I always try to use the best 
lubricants. Oil is a much neglected component of our cars I always think. 
As for power output and specs I will look on Google so that I can figure out 
which engine has been used. Is there any particular place I should look first?
