The rubber tube came from Quantum with the kits.
I might be wrong but i think it’s a similar size to the ducting used on 
bathroom fans.
On a hot day the tube can transfer quite a lot of heat from the engine bay into 
the air coming through the tube.
Not a problem if you are moving with the roof down but if you are stuck in a 
traffic jam in the summer it’s not so good.
Finding some insulated tube would be good but i’ve never got around to it.

Oh, some mesh over the end is also good, otherwise leaves can find there way 
into the tube and then get stuck in the air vents, very annoying.

  Its a fresh air feed for the car. See this image for how the pipe is usually 
run, although Jim Yearn not doubt custom made the joint between the pipe and 
bulkhead. Usually I believe sealant is used.
