Hello Everyone Thank you for your prompt replies. Of course I would not object to a bit more vroom but my main concern is the durability. Once fitted it should last a lifetime ( mine or the cars ) because it is washable . On the K and N website they mentioned 50000 mile maintenance periods. I did have a K and N filter in my old Quantum a 1.8l diesel 2 + 2 which I was very pleased with.If ever filters became hard to obtain due the vehicle`s age I would be safe. However smooth running does seem to be desirable too. Can anyone tell me which one to order , i.e what part number? I welcome more facets to this debate.
