Bill
Thanks for the plug for my rebuild blog! It may also be helpful to know that it
would have been much more difficult to identify discs for my rebuild and
upgrade were it not for this website
http://www.brakeworld.co.uk/brakeworld/appguide/webframe.htm

which is still available despite the company being reported as "in
administration" over a year ago. If you choose "Search Options" at the bottom
of the menu you are then able to search discs by size - diameter, thickness,
depth, spigot diameter  and no of stud holes. You can then check for the disc
selected that the PCD is correct (or within modifiable limits) on any of a
number of web sites. That's how I ended up with Honda Legend discs to use with
the Wilwood Midilite calipers on the front and a combination of Focus hubs,
Peugeot 205 discs and Golf calipers for the disc conversion on the rear.
 Best regards
Bill

information, but I read somewhere that the Ford Focus rear axle with disks is a
straight swap for a mk3 Fiesta. I appreciate it sounds unlikely, as surely the
focus has a wider track...but maybe worth looking at? Alternatively, I think
Bill Allison has written an excellent rebuild diary on his saloon, which
details a rebuild of his rear axle with a disk brake conversion. This is
readable on the proboards forum and may also be helpful.
Good luck!

Hi, and thanks for the advice.
With some local help that's what was done: it is a Mondeo disc, the standard
part is part number DELBG4117.  The pads that matched the old ones are
DBPPAD1724 (calipers are Mondeo ST220). That collection of parts works on the
H4. So it may well be of use to someone else wanting to do such a mod.
The handbrake cable turned out to be fine. It has turned out the fault was a
broken adjuster (on the original drum brake from the Fiesta donor). So far as I
can see these are no longer available, so pro tem it has been welded at the
expense of losing adjustment.  So that's something else to fix at some point
Assuming the drum mechanisms are not available, anyone know of a disc brake
conversion?
Thanks

HiIf you remove one of the discs and take it to a motor factors they should be
able to check it against a mondeo for size/offset. The handbrake cable as far
as i know is mk3 fiesta  but i may stand to be corrected

Hi
I need to replace the front discs on the H4. The problem is these are not
Fiesta originals, they are vented and grooved discs which are detailed as CRN
276mm, supplied by CRN performance. Sadly I can find no reference to CRN. The
calipers are noted as Mondeo ST220.
Can anyone shed any light on how to define a replacement pair of discs and/or
source them? I'm not concerned about the grooving, I'm not racing this car. I
need something that will fit without requiring major surgery.
Also, while I'm at it, the handbrake cable has broken, it is now seemingly only
working on one side. I'm assuming this is would be the Fiesta/donor original
part, but it would be useful to have that confirmed. Assuming it is not
modified or from something else, I should be able to get that bit.
Thanks
