I've had the engine and gearbox out of my Xtreme to get the bottom end
rebuilt. While the engine was away I cleaned the gearbox, and replaced the
oil seal. With the gearbox bell housing back in place I thought I would
check gear selection before putting it back on the engine and that is where
my worry has started.
I can select all 5 forward gears, but it does not want to go into reverse.
The movement feels fine and I can push the lever down and right, but even
with a good shove it will not go into reverse.
Is there anything that I could have disturbed when removing the bell housing?
Regards,
Steve
