Hello Quartz Composers-
I have been putting some quick and dirty motion graphics together
(mock BBC newsreel) for a research team I'm helping and in playing
with the new version of Keynote ran into two QC questions for y'all.
First, is it possible to put a basic rss feed into a keynote file or
is that still a non-starter due to the security limitation? Any ways
around this?
Second, and this is a fun one- embedding live video in keynote. I
never got this to work in previous versions, and was able to
reproduce it doing this:
1. open quartz composition (video in + sprite/billboard patch)
2. open QC viewer
2. open keynote
3. drag .qtz file from title bar of the Viewer window into Keynote
4. close the viewer in QC
5. hit play in keynote
This will enable access to the camera- which will then break if
keynote is saved.
Is it possible to embed a live video feed from a qtz file into
keynote without this hacky way?
I think the obvious answer would be just to use QC to power the demo,
and bypass keynote entirely... but I really enjoy the idea of
extending the dynamic nature of Keynote with simple QC patches.
any thoughts would be greatly welcomed!
thanks,
- mv
