Hi Nick,

You're going to want to modify the timebase of the Quicktime patch in order to set the time manually. You do that by control clicking on the patch, and select Timebase > external. This will add a new port to that patch for controlling the time. You can do that to any patch which is time based, say for example the Particle System patch allowing you to rewind or play in slow motion or start from zero.

What I would do then is connect the Keyboard patch to the start AND reset input ports of the Stopwatch patch. That way when the key is clicked the stopwatch begins counting from zero.

Attach the Time output of the Stopwatch to your externalized Patch Time input of the Movie patch.
