Hello again: I responded before looking at your sample animation.
The solution I gave you does not work for this particular example,
however, there is definitely a problem (bug) with the depth testing
and we need to let the guys at Apple know about it so they can fix it.
It is very annoying to see this on QC 2.0, because it used to work
just fine on the previous version.
By the way, I have tested this on Tiger and Leopard.
