I'm trying to set up a Mac Mini running Leopard to auto-start a QC
composition and automatically go to full screen mode when the Mini
powers on.
I'm able to auto-start the composition when I log in, but I cannot
get it to go to full-screen mode automatically.
Question 1: is there any way to auto-login?
I just figured this one out ... still need answers to questions 2, 3, 4.
Question 2: is there any way to get a QC-comp to come up in full-
screen mode? If not, is there any way to specify the size and
position of the viewer on startup?
Question 3: most annoyingly...
The installation target setup has an S-video input. In order to
test, I am connecting to my TV.
The Mac Mini DVI output goes into an Apple-supplied adapter that
has both S-video and NTSC outputs on it.
I have no S-video cable at the moment, so I'm just running NTSC.
The Display resolution automatically changes to 800 x 600.
So far so good.
When I start the composition, (auto-start or not), I see the editor
window, but no viewer window.
No matter what I do, I cannot get the viewer window to show up at
all. (cmd-R, cmd-F, click on viewer icon in editor window, menu
versions of the above).
I've also tried saving the comp with a very small viewer window and
a very large viewer window. I've poked around in preferences, too.
The only way I can get the viewer window is to start QC while
connected to my DVI monitor (1600x1200), and then swapping the
cables at the video output.
Any ideas?
Question 4: Would this all be easier/doable if I just wrapped my
composition in an app? I've seen the tutorial, but have not yet
tried playing with it.
