[Apologies if this has been answered before but I tried to find this in the list archives and I did not get any results]
I would like to create a QC plugin with virtual input/output ports. The API and documentation says you can only have a fixed port type (string, structure, number, image, etc). I would like to autodetect the input type and not ask the user to go through the settings panel. The built-in QC patches like "Splitter" or "Multiplexer" do allow virtual ports - is it done with a private API?
