Hi, there is an option box in the extended QC preferences (option + select Quartz Composer -> Preferences) called 'uncorrectedCoreImage' - not sure if that will help.
Good find; I'm not sure about Nathaniel's specific problem, but this doesn't appear to fix the GLSL displacement issue (which also seems to revolve around colorspaces). Another option may be enabling softwareCoreImage (similar preferences location), which does fix the displacement stuff. This might also be something to consider, in retrospect. *shrugs*
