I apologize for reporting the errors. You had mentioned in your write-up that you had already created the Plug-In and so a rebuild was not necessary. My mistake. I added the plugin to the appropriate library and both the qc3dapp as well as the standalone qtz files produced a mouse-orientable view of both the cube as well as the cessna. They are both monochrome. Here is my console log.
