I've got a number of apps I'm responsible that use QC to layer text
over video. These are deployed in over 200 locations, mostly on
Leopard, but many stores are still running Tiger on their display
machines.
Apparently on Leopard QC just smooths all text, no matter what. On
Tiger, however, Image from String patches have a filtering option in
the inspector, which we've carefully set to Bilinear in all of our
projects to make the text look good.
The thing is, it appears that even the simplest edit to a QC file on
Leopard wipes out every text object's filtering setting. If you
subsequently open the comp on Tiger, the text is all jaggy.
Does anyone know if there's a way to edit a comp on Leopard so the
text will get antialiased on Tiger?
