What I would like to see is this.... A sound "plug-in"/"patch". But this is the functionality....
You drop the patch onto the Editor. You would open patch inspector. Input parameters, would show options that look much like the iTunes importer/browser in iMovie. Instead of having a million different audio modules, you would handle the rest of the audio processing through patch inspector. When you would pull up patch inspector on the Audio, and select Settings, you would have an FX interface that would be like Garage Band. I could also see having an "Audio Layer".... a secondary patch editor that would show the choices that you have made in the "Garage Band" like interface, in a Quartz Composer like way.
