Yeah, this is a rather interesting way of doing it indeed. Simplifies
a lot of things along the way too, as all you need is the generated
NSImage being dumped into the NSDictionary and that's it.

Related is a patch I released ages ago, which created NSImages and
outputted them as objects in a NSDictionary, along with a load of
metadata. It also turned out to be a lot simpler to code - just
put the NSImage into a NSDictionary, output that and without any
further ado it just works.
