Hello Robert,

The ports on a patch are defined by the interface of that patch. Most regular patches define their interface through code, but in the case of Square Cornered patches like the Lighting patch, the interface can be modified by the patches it contains.

If you double click on the Lighting patch, select the patch inside that you would like to expose to the Lighting patch's interface and ctl-click you will see an option to Publish Inputs.

Hello Group,

I'm somewhat of a novice when it comes to using Quartz Composer. Recently I was attempting to reverse engineer the Chart application from the Developer Examples. Reason being I'm working on a document that will introduce using Quartz Composer in the IS&T applications developed in house. Sort of a step by step assembly manual of the Chart project. I ran into a roadblock when it comes to figuring out how the input parameters where added to the Lighting patch of the .qtz file within the project. Can someone please enlighten me on this topic. I'm probably missing something obvious.

Thanks in advance for any help,
Regards,
Bob M.
