As a user who's potentially going to use these things I'd be very happy with everything being inputs. When you click on the QC plugin and go to patch parameters the inputs are given sliders inside QC anyway without attaching anything. Having everything as an input is much preferable to me rather than a settings box that can't be programmatically changed.

I can see your objection to scaling inputs, but really it seems like the best option and as a user this would be a perfectly acceptable solution for me.
