Hi Sabine, I use QC together with SuperCollider and I've used it as music visualizer (other than iTunes style, more costume) and for some installations regarding Live Video and Music. I usually use the OSC send/recieve or the Quartz Compositions directly form SuperCollider (there's a class that let'S you open composition instances there and it's easier than the OSC this), but for a network then I use the OSC stuff, it's more reliable.
I really love this combination, because the animation stuff in QC is pretty easy, and the musical stuff and synchronising the music to animation events it's even easier in SuperCollider.
