As far as I know, there is no provision for making a virtual patch that is a
macro environment. What I would like to do is to store GLSL patches that I
typically use in my patches folder, so that I can pull them from the patch
list easily.

When I've done this the GLSL patch (virtual at this point), restores as a
consumer, with no settings (fragment/vertex) available. If I edit the plist
so that the qtz is a pure GLSL environment, I can in fact edit fragment and
vertex, yet it is still a consumer patch, not an environment.

Is it reasonable to think that this is a bug or legitimate feature request
(notwithstanding any current problems with virtual patches as is)?
