there is a big lag in documentation on QuartzComposer I suppose.
Anyways there are lots of examples to play with in /Developer/Library/
Quartz Composer/Examples/
Also most of the old tutorials are still working because the way
QuartzComposer works didn't changed so much.
The Clip Library is now somehow integrated in the patch browser. You
can find "patches" that refers to external compositions. They are
marked with "Repository Composition". Once you pull them into your own
composition they don't get extracted here anymore but they appear as
an "Composition Importer"-patch which refers to the external
composition with an absolute system path. They are normal compositions
as well and you can examine them with QuartzComposer too.
I hope this gives you a starting point.
