Hi everyone, My name is Jonathan Hart. I'm a Flash developer from San Francisco who recently discovered Quartz Composer. It took me a split second to decide to abandon Flash for QC and I am never looking back!
My particular area of interest is fusing live music with graphics on the screen. I have already hooked up Logic to QC and have created a composition to show you guys: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPnnolB5Xuk It's Logic controlling QC through the same MIDI notes that are making the music. I also have an APC-40 wired into the mix that is sending control messages both to logic and QC, the idea being i can change the music while at the same time changing a graphical element in the composition. You can see this by listening to the cutoff frequency of the pads working in conjunction with the shape of the stars. I'm using a single knob on my APC-40 (midi controller) to change both at the same time. I'm also using 3 more knobs on the APC-40 to color mix live ... this is just my first experiment too, using stock patches.. Lots of fun and addictive. Big ups to apple for making such a sick (Yet obscure) product! Jonathan
