There are multiple models with that base number though; there are color/bw choices and firewire/usb choices available. Are you connecting *then* starting QC? There is a specific Firewire plugin developed by Kineme, which I'm extremely familiar with (commissioned for a project I coincidentally also worked on). It will detect all connected Firewire devices and deliver a list of ID's (like Audio Tools). It also provides less latency than normal. I would highly recommend DL'ing it and seeing if you can detect your device if it is the Firewire variant. *Also*: It shouldn't really make a difference, but I've heard report of the old, outdated, Kineme A/V patch jogging QC into recognizing cams that it wouldn't otherwise.
